Lead AI Risk Management Specialist

This pivotal role will accelerate our AI-First strategy by implementing an AI Risk Management framework and global policy.

The successful candidate will partner with various teams to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks emerging from complex methodologies and technological systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive AI risk strategy and governance: Implement and evolve our global AI policy, integrating existing risk governances.
  • Enhance cross-coordination: Foster seamless collaboration between risk and business teams across model, data, privacy, information security, and IT risks.
  • Integrate AI risk into enterprise risk management: Ensure AI risks are managed within our enterprise risk management framework, defining our classification of AI systems and monitoring adherence to established thresholds.
  • Identify and mitigate AI risks: Partner with various teams to proactively identify, assess, and manage existing and emerging risks from AI.
  • Strengthen controls and processes: Diagnose process gaps and propose improvements for AI adoption, focusing on experimentation flows and AI system lifecycle governance.
  • Advance quality and responsible AI: Establish quality standards for AI models, enhancing explainability efforts and contributing to a comprehensive responsible AI framework.
  • Promote best practices, regulatory adherence, and AI literacy: Keep up-to-date with industry best practices, proposing necessary updates to the AI risk management framework and best practices guidelines.
  • Ensure reporting and resilience: Track AI usage and risks, developing standardized metrics and leadership reporting to ensure comprehensive risk coverage.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in risk management, compliance, and governance.
  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, and assess risks emerging from complex methodologies and/or technological systems.
  • Interest in keeping learning about AI, identifying risks, and proposing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive outcomes in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and discuss complex topics with stakeholders.
