Job Summary
Under general guidance from the Maintenance Supervisor, associate will perform facility-wide repair, installation, upkeep, and preventative maintenance as required to maintain and promote facility operations, manufacturing readiness, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks to ensure facility equipment and systems are functioning properly.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including switchgear, circuit breakers, and control systems.
- Perform plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks to ensure facility water and gas systems are functioning properly.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on facility equipment and systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of new equipment and systems.
- Perform carpentry tasks, including framing, door/window installation/adjustment, and drywall repair.
- Perform general maintenance duties, including snow removal, sign installation, painting, and janitorial services.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical theory and be able to apply it to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Must be able to install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, and other electrical systems.
- Must be able to ensure the operation of machinery and electrical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements.
- Must be able to make timely and appropriate decisions in emergency situations to minimize production interruption.
- Must be able to perform root cause failure analysis and other maintenance practices to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Must have practical hands-on experience in the electrical, mechanical, or plumbing trades.
- Must be able to work with limited supervision and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
