We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, discussing them with product owners and business SMEs, and preparing ETL pipelines written in PySpark. You will also be responsible for reformulating existing frameworks to optimize their functioning, testing structures to ensure they are fit for use, and capturing and recording unit testing results in the system. Additionally, you will be responsible for performance optimization of ETL pipelines, data ingestion from external and internal systems, and collaborating with stakeholders to update status on a timely basis.
Data Engineer RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have 4-6 years of relevant experience in data engineering, big data development, and IT experience in the data space. You will also need to have good data/SQL knowledge, as well as knowledge of PySpark, ETL, and databases. Proven experience as a data engineer, software developer, and big data/hadoop/hive concepts are also required. You will need to have proficiency in SQL, PySpark, and Python for writing simple to complex data transformations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are also essential. Additionally, you will need to be willing to learn new platforms and technologies, and have the capacity to successfully manage a pipeline of duties with minimal supervision.
