Surveyor Trainee Job DescriptionAt Mitang Brasil, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Surveyor Trainee to join our team. As a Surveyor Trainee, you will play a crucial role in supporting the installation and verification of Survey and Positioning systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the installation and verification of Survey and Positioning systems.
- Assist with calibration of Survey and Positioning systems, including alongside calibrations.
- Perform QC dimensional control surveys.
- Conduct observations of seawater parameters.
- Understand ROV offsets.
- Support remote operation center - ROC.
- Perform survey and positioning operations associated with installation of subsea pipelines, umbilicals and structures, platforms, and pile.
- Assist with preparation of survey reports.
- Plan survey data acquisition to ensure compliance with client specifications and project procedures.
- Maintain clear and accurate online survey logs.
- Act as Report Coordinator if required, producing field reports and memos.
- Communicate effectively during operations to direct ROV and vessel crew.
- Participate in risk assessments and tool box talks.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geomatics, engineers, oceanography, and electronic technician or similar.
- Survey offshore training completed from Seahouse Professional Institute.
- 0-1 year of relevant experience in survey/technician-related discipline.
- Basic knowledge of industry-standard surveying and software.
- Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
- Understanding of offshore survey principles and techniques.
- Ability to work both independently and within an international team.
- Fluent in English.
