Surveyor Trainee Job Description

At Mitang Brasil, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Surveyor Trainee to join our team. As a Surveyor Trainee, you will play a crucial role in supporting the installation and verification of Survey and Positioning systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the installation and verification of Survey and Positioning systems.
  • Assist with calibration of Survey and Positioning systems, including alongside calibrations.
  • Perform QC dimensional control surveys.
  • Conduct observations of seawater parameters.
  • Understand ROV offsets.
  • Support remote operation center - ROC.
  • Perform survey and positioning operations associated with installation of subsea pipelines, umbilicals and structures, platforms, and pile.
  • Assist with preparation of survey reports.
  • Plan survey data acquisition to ensure compliance with client specifications and project procedures.
  • Maintain clear and accurate online survey logs.
  • Act as Report Coordinator if required, producing field reports and memos.
  • Communicate effectively during operations to direct ROV and vessel crew.
  • Participate in risk assessments and tool box talks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geomatics, engineers, oceanography, and electronic technician or similar.
  • Survey offshore training completed from Seahouse Professional Institute.
  • 0-1 year of relevant experience in survey/technician-related discipline.
  • Basic knowledge of industry-standard surveying and software.
  • Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
  • Understanding of offshore survey principles and techniques.
  • Ability to work both independently and within an international team.
  • Fluent in English.
