KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Support the Maintenance of Health, Safety, and Management Systems
- Stay informed about new safety information relevant to operations and personal development.
- Proactively gather and share updates on safety-related advancements with the Safety Officer.
- Implement Safety Management Systems in line with personal responsibilities and operational needs.
- Issue work orders and request maintenance to ensure the availability of Fire Fighting Equipment (FFE) and Lifesaving Appliances (LSA), accurately documenting maintenance activities.
2) Assist in Maintaining the Working Environment and Operational Standards
- Support the Safety Officer in conducting thorough inspections, ensuring accurate results are recorded.
- Identify and prioritize potential hazards or deviations from safety requirements.
- Foster effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and both internal and external audit teams.
- Facilitate access to necessary information for inspection and audit teams.
3) Promote a Health and Safety Culture in the Workplace
- Demonstrate safe behavior through personal actions and communications.
- Encourage positive safety attitudes in oneself and others.
4) Report, Investigate, and Follow Up on Incidents
- Accurately report details of incidents and near misses.
- Assist in investigations of workplace incidents, providing clear reports to the Safety Officer.
5) Conduct Demonstrations and General Security Duties
- Assist in informing new personnel about operational procedures and guidelines.
- Support the induction process for new employees.
- Ensure accessibility of training materials related to Management Systems.
- Help coordinate and deliver training events.
- Maintain records of safety training conducted and provide summaries to relevant offices.
6) Monitor Pollution Control Measures
- Identify and report unplanned discharges to the environment in accordance with policies and regulations.
- Utilize appropriate PPE when addressing unplanned discharges.
- Ensure proper disposal of equipment and materials according to established procedures.
- Enforce environmental protection and pollution control measures among colleagues and subcontractors.
7) Emergency Response Responsibilities
- Fulfill assigned Emergency Response roles.
- Demonstrate competence during Emergency Response drills and training.
- Contribute to the design and analysis of emergency exercises and debriefings.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in servicing and maintaining Fire Fighting Equipment (FFE) and Lifesaving Appliances (LSA).
- Familiarity with helicopter operations.
- Knowledge of Safety Management Systems.
- Experience with PTW, Risk Assessment, and Gas Testing.
- Some background in monitoring hazardous maintenance activities.
- FPSO experience is preferred.
- Must meet medical fitness standards for offshore work.
- Personal Skills: Safety-conscious, proactive, and assertive. Leadership: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Technical: Good understanding of safety systems and hydrocarbon hazards. IT: Proficient in standard office software and email systems.
WORK SCHEDULE: 14 days on, 14 days off
VESSEL TYPE: Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO)
