Job Title: TechOps Engineer

Job Description:

Support and Development:

We are seeking a highly skilled TechOps Engineer to join our Technology team at IronFX. As a TechOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the support of in-house applications, including diagnosis of issues and development of hotfixes. You will also provide level 1 & 2 support for our internal systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accountable for the support of in-house applications, including diagnosis of issues and development of hotfixes.
  2. Deliver level 1 & 2 support for our internal systems.
  3. First line of support for incident response, diagnosis, and escalation.
  4. Comfortable with monitoring and observability systems, ensuring any notifications or alerts are responded to.
  5. Contributor to process, procedure & support documentation, ensuring alignment to any change or new development.
  6. Contributor to service improvement initiatives for operational excellence and process improvement.
  7. Contributor to developing IT Service Management and DevOps practices into support teams.

Requirements:

  1. 3+ years in an application support role in a 24 x 7 operation.
  2. Proficient in using system and application monitoring products (Grafana, Kibana, Site 24/7).
  3. Proficient in incident management and root cause analysis.
  4. Experience in supporting live production systems.
  5. Understanding of Technology Service Management; knowledge of ITIL is desirable.
  6. Experience of support within Cloud Service Providers (Azure).
  7. Exposure to DevOps and Agile ways of working would be an advantage.
  8. Full understanding of CI/CD processes and DevOps best practices.
  9. Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps preferable).
  10. Able to work with scripting languages (bash, PowerShell).
  11. Prior experience with relational databases, MongoDB, and other databases is desirable.
  12. Understanding application containerization technologies.
  13. Experience with Docker.
  14. Good understanding or experience with container orchestration.
