Part-Time Bloodmobile Driver with CDL

The Miller-Keystone Blood Center is seeking a Part-Time Bloodmobile Driver to join our team. As a Bloodmobile Driver, you will be responsible for loading vehicles with necessary supplies, driving to blood drive locations, setting up and assisting with the blood drive, and then packing up and returning to the blood center.

Your primary objective will be to ensure that all aspects of the blood drive are executed smoothly and efficiently, while also providing exceptional customer service to donors and visitors. You will work closely with the Collections Logistics Supervisor to plan and coordinate logistics for successful blood drives throughout our community.

To qualify for this role, you must possess a CDL Class B license and have experience driving a box truck or larger vehicle. Additionally, you should be proficient in Microsoft Office and have excellent communication skills to engage with donors and employees from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading vehicles with necessary supplies
  • Driving to blood drive locations
  • Setting up and assisting with the blood drive
  • Packing up and returning to the blood center
  • Greeting and assisting donors, visitors, and clients in a friendly yet professional manner
  • Providing accurate information, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues promptly and respectfully
  • Completing vehicle and blood drive documentation in accordance with company standards

Requirements:

  • CDL Class B license required
  • Experience driving a box truck or larger vehicle preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
  • Strong work ethic including attendance, trust, flexibility, and reliability

Work Environment:

  • This position reports directly to the Collections Logistics Supervisor in the Collections Department
  • Located at our Reading center
  • Variable schedule with part-time coverage approximately 3-4 days per week
  • Weekend rotation possible
