Advanced Machine Learning Engineer

Sardine is a leader in fraud prevention and AML compliance, utilizing device intelligence, behavior biometrics, machine learning, and AI to prevent fraud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and refine backend services using Golang for processing and analyzing device data, ensuring robustness and scalability.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to integrate machine learning capabilities into products.
  • Develop sophisticated algorithms leveraging high-entropy signals and probabilistic matching for device identification.
  • Analyze vast datasets to uncover insights, enhancing accuracy and reliability.
  • Apply advanced machine learning models to improve device recognition and manage uncertainties.
  • Maintain strict privacy and security standards, adhering to industry best practices and regulations.
  • Encourage continuous learning and document processes clearly to ensure team consistency.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend development and proficiency in Go or similar languages.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with applied machine learning and data-informed optimization, working with large-scale datasets using PyTorch and Scikit-learn.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets.
  • Comfortable working with relational and non-relational databases.
  • Excellent English communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, especially in device identification and fraud prevention.
  • Experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of modern browser APIs and high-entropy data collection techniques.
