Job Title: School Leadership DirectorAs a key member of our school leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and guidance to the Senior School.The role involves leading the SLT (Senior Leadership Team) and facilitating the leadership group dynamics, making the most of each member's experience and capabilities.You will also be responsible for chairing the weekly SLT meetings and ensuring that agendas are focused and appropriate to the strategic priorities of the Senior School.A secure, stimulating and orderly Senior School environment is essential for nurturing pupils' happiness, welfare, academic excellence and all-round development.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Senior School, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation and excellence.
  • Work closely with the Headmaster and other senior leaders to ensure effective communication and collaboration across the school.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote pupil safety and well-being, including safeguarding procedures and regular child protection training.
  • Manage resources and budget effectively, ensuring the efficient delivery of educational programs and activities.
  • Recruit, induct and mentor new staff members in the Senior School, supporting their professional development and growth.
  • Ensure the implementation of staff performance review and development, supporting continuous improvement and growth.
Requirements:
  • Articulate and creative leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work at a strategic level and in a hands-on capacity.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and driving change initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Competent with technology as a management, teaching and learning tool.
  • Ability to work effectively with others in small teams, liaising effectively with staff, parents, pupils, governors and others.
