Operations Manager - Logistics Expert
OverviewThe ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in logistics operations, team management, and process improvement. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all processes related to logistics, maintenance, and purchasing/procurement.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, foster strong relationships with customers, and ensure the safety and security of the operation.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational plans to achieve business objectives.
- Manage a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure high performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of operations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in logistics operations.
- At least 2 years of proven experience leading and managing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with integrated business management systems (ERP) is a plus.
