Position Overview | Full-Time | Field Operations


• Provide daily technical assistance to Service Operations, focusing on troubleshooting and problem resolution.


• Serve as the primary customer contact for addressing technical inquiries and challenges associated with Service Business.


• Offer engineering support for locally developed solutions tailored to the current fleet.


• Facilitate modifications to the existing fleet by contributing insights to centralized processes (CIM, ECR, projects).


• Ensure the effective implementation of technical solutions at various sites.


• Guarantee the appropriate selection of main components at project locations.


• Drive platform enhancements aimed at minimizing LPF.

Key Responsibilities:


• Conduct thorough evaluations and analyses of underperforming main components, developing recovery strategies.


• Act as a bridge between Service Vestas and the R&D department at Vestas Wind System A/S to enhance turbine efficiency.


• Provide technical assistance for troubleshooting main and general components.


• Coordinate and execute post-mortem analyses on damaged or decommissioned components.


• Develop procedures and guides to assist Field Services in inspecting wind turbines and reviewing main components.


• Review operational instructions, external inspection reports, and perform site observations with minimal supervision, ensuring turbine performance control across the LATAM fleet.


• Liaise with field personnel, vendors, customers, and Continuous Improvement Management/R&D.


• Provide technical support to the legal department regarding electrical main component issues.


• Maintain professional and technical expertise by participating in educational workshops and reviewing industry publications.


• Create and deliver technical presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.


• Manage projects and follow-ups aimed at enhancing platform performance and reducing LPF.

Required Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.


• Minimum of 3 years of experience in evaluating electrical systems, including generators, medium voltage transformers, and switchgear; experience in wind turbine technology is preferred.


• Proficient in the deployment and control evaluation of generators, transformers, and switchgear.


• Intermediate proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Proactive approach, capable of balancing responsibilities and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
