Job Overview

Cadence is seeking a motivated Application Engineer II: Physical Design - Synthesis and Digital Implementation to work with our team in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Key Responsibilities
  • Help customers enhance their productivity, debug complex issues, and provide solutions in digital tools and flows.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Product Engineering to identify and prioritize product improvement initiatives through formal methods.
  • Champion customer needs and work closely with R&D and marketing to develop competitive and creative technical solutions.
  • Provide high-quality support to customers, ensuring high-impact knowledge content, tool adoption kits, and other high-level documents increase self-service for customers.
  • Develop out-of-the-box solutions to customer problems using tool capabilities or scripting techniques.
Requirements
  • Complete bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or similar fields.
  • Experience in digital implementation flows on advanced nodes.
  • Expertise in one or more domains – synthesis/physical design, place & route/STA.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages and flow development is a plus.
  • Excellent debugging skills and ability to separate critical issues from trivial ones.
  • Experience leading a small to mid-size team of engineers is a plus.
