Job Title: Kitchen Porter

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Kitchen Porter to join our team at Novotel Birmingham Centre. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and supporting our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean and tidy, adhering to current health and safety regulations.
  • Equipment Management: Count, sort, and prepare operating equipment as required, ensuring correct handling of chemicals and equipment.
  • Waste Management: Ensure all waste is collected and disposed of correctly from all kitchen areas each shift.
  • Support to Culinary Team: Assist the culinary team in preparing for service, maintaining high standards of presentation, and contributing to cost control through energy conservation and efficient use of resources.

Requirements:

  • Positive Attitude: Demonstrate a positive and guest-oriented attitude, with excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the culinary team to achieve common goals and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with the ability to work under pressure and respond to changing situations.
