BW Energy is seeking a highly skilled Drilling Engineer to join our team in Brazil.
Key Responsibilities:- Well Design and Planning: Design, plan, and engineer wells in preparation for execution.
- Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare cost estimates and budgets to support the generation of Well AFEs.
- Technical Support and Supervision: Provide supervisory and technical support to the Rig Superintendent during drilling operations.
- Interface Management: Liaise and manage daily interface between wells, subsurface, and operations.
- Well Closeout and Reporting: Final well closeout and reporting at the conclusion of the well.
- Education: Degree qualification in Engineering.
- Language: Good written and oral command of the English Language.
- Certification: Current Well Control certification (IWCF) - Subsea/Surface Supervisor is considered an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant Drilling engineering experience, ideally with an Operator.
- Skills: Strong aptitude for mathematics and problem-solving, positive attitude, and willingness to teach less experienced personnel.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
- Brazilian Regulations: Good understanding of Brazilian regulations.
- Drilling Equipment Design and Operation: Knowledge of drilling equipment design and operation.
- Well Engineering Tools: Knowledge of appropriate and relevant well engineering tools (e.g. Landmark Suite or similar – Wellplan, Stresscheck, Compass, etc.) and software packages.
