Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creatively solving problems, ensuring a balance between speed, reliability, pragmatism, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Problem Analysis and Solution Design: Demonstrate expertise in problem analysis and design pragmatic solutions to real-world problems.
  • Collaboration and Execution: Collaborate with various teams to offer solutions and be accountable for their end-to-end execution.
  • Infrastructure Development: Create, design, develop, and operate the shared infrastructure platform to support Swile's growth, new products, and international development.
  • Developer Experience: Perpetually improve the developer experience by considering the platform as a product.
  • Training and Coaching: Train, coach, and support software engineers to make teams autonomous on DevOps & SRE practices.
  • Platform Security and Compliance: Take care of platform security, compliance, and keep costs under control.
  • Business Understanding: Obtain a good understanding of the business to provide relevant solutions to users and clients.
  • Technology Staying Up-to-Date: Stay up-to-date on new technologies and architectures and demonstrate good judgment in their potential Swile applications.
  • Code Reviews and Mentorship: Provide positive, constructive, and qualitative feedback during code reviews and mentor and promote tech growth within the team.
Requirements
  • Site Reliability Engineering Experience: Have significant site reliability engineering experience.
  • Code Simplicity and Quality: Value code simplicity, quality, security, performance, and maintainability.
  • Architecture Design: Can design pragmatic & simple architectures to solve problems at scale.
  • Fast-Growth Startup Environment: Want to work in a fast, high-growth startup environment that respects its engineers and customers.
