Snowflake Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Data Engineer to join our team. As a data engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines using the Snowflake platform.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SQL, Python, and ELT frameworks, along with a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake to ingest and transform data from diverse sources.
  • Implement robust ETL/ELT processes and validation routines using SQL, Python, and orchestration tools like dbt or Apache Airflow.
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics, BI, and Product teams to translate business requirements into actionable data products.
  • Ensure data quality through error handling, automated monitoring, and validation processes.
  • Monitor and optimize Snowflake query performance, warehouse usage, and overall pipeline efficiency.
  • Contribute to data governance and security by applying compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2), implementing access controls, and using data masking techniques.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of data engineering experience, ideally within SaaS or analytics-driven environments.
  • Hands-on Snowflake experience, including ELT development, schema design, and performance tuning.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data ingestion, transformation, and analysis.
  • Experience with orchestration and transformation tools such as dbt and Apache Airflow.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling (e.g., star schemas, dimensional modeling) and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and compliance standards such as HIPAA and SOC2, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
