Job Description

As a Business Intelligence Analyst at Pacifica Continental, you will play a key role in developing our data-driven mindset and supporting diverse business-related strategies.

You will help in the data architecture of the company, develop new automations, and create dashboards to give business scalability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing analytical dashboards in Power BI for sales and operational areas.
  • Developing automations to gain business scalability, such as reviewing internal procedures and identifying opportunities for automation.
  • Extraction, transformation, and loading routines, developing our OLAP environment and data warehouse.
  • Developing queries and analyzing the OLTP environment.
  • Identifying trends and insights to help the management team add value to the business strategy and growth with analytics dashboards.
  • Creating reports to monitor business effectiveness and track the evolution of the business using internal databases.
  • Contributing to the organizational strategic planning, focusing on data-driven information.
  • Leading sales calls with offices worldwide, providing commercial inputs, and analyzing sales databases.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • A business-oriented mindset.
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of the area.
  • Motivation to work in a multicultural environment.
  • The ability to handle confidential information.
  • Good communication skills.

Additionally, you should have:

  • Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of Excel and Power BI.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Power Query, SQL Server Management Studio, and Pentaho or similar ETL/Orchestration tools.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of T-SQL, Python, DAX, and M.
  • Knowledge of data warehouse, OLAP, OLTP, relational databases, ETL, Scrum/Agile, kinds of relationships, storytelling, and DataViz.
