Medior Tax Analyst

We are seeking a Medior Tax Analyst to support our tax function in compliance and advisory roles. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in various tax matters, ensuring all tax requirements are properly and timely covered according to Brazilian legislation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the calculation of Transfer pricing, cross-charging costs, and royalties according to OECD rules.
  • Calculating income tax and deferred tax.
  • Reconciling tax accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Calculating and delivering ancillary obligations to guarantee Direct tax compliance to local authorities.
  • Acting as a single point of contact between business and financial control.
  • Implementing projects, such as SAP, Tax tools, KPIs, and new tax calculations.
  • Supporting internal and external audits to obtain clean opinions.
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of tax returns and compliance documentation.
  • Supporting tax audits by gathering necessary documentation and information.
  • Conducting research on tax laws and regulations to assist in compliance efforts.
  • Assisting in implementing tax strategies and processes to optimize tax efficiency.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide tax guidance on business operations.
  • Maintaining accurate tax records and documentation to support compliance.
  • Monitoring updates in tax legislation and assessing their implications.
  • Providing support in Transfer Pricing calculations as needed.
Impact of the Position:

The Medior Tax Analyst will lead the right tax calculation for indirect and direct tax, ancillary obligation, and transfer pricing to avoid penalties and reputational issues with the Brazilian government.

The Medior Tax Analyst will play a supportive role within the tax function, contributing to maintaining compliance and optimizing the company's tax position. By assisting in various tax processes and collaborating with teams, the analyst will help ensure the organization's financial integrity and regulatory adherence.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in tax compliance or related roles.
  • Basic understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • The ability to read, speak, and write fluently in English (additional languages are a plus).
