Sourcing and Supply Chain Director

At Vestas, we are seeking a highly experienced Sourcing and Supply Chain Director to join our team.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of developing and implementing effective sourcing and supply chain strategies that drive business growth and improve efficiency.
  • We are looking for someone who can collaborate with cross-functional teams, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and communicate effectively at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To develop and implement regional 'fit-for-the-purpose' supply chain strategies that meet the needs of our customers and drive business growth.
  2. To build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring high standards of quality, delivery, and service.
  3. To identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, and to implement changes that benefit the business.
  4. To oversee the development and implementation of digitalization strategies and roadmaps in the region.
  5. To provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in operations domains such as procurement, supply chain, transport, construction, project management, or sales.
  • At least 3 years' experience in people management, with a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience working in the wind industry, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong financial and administrative skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or statistics.
