Automation Engineer

Develop, execute and improve automated test solutions for software systems.

  • Lead automation efforts for specific features or platforms.
  • Mentor engineers on automation best practices.
  • Improve test coverage, efficiency and defect detection.
  • Participate in technical discussions and roadmap planning.
  • Design, implement and maintain automated test scripts for embedded platforms.
  • Collaborate with developers, systems engineers and validation teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
  • Execute test cases in SIL, HIL and VIL environments and analyze results.
  • Participate in code reviews and enhance test frameworks.
  • Document test plans, procedures and results per quality standards.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines with automated testing.
  • Design test cases from requirements.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proficient in English: vocabulary, grammar, meeting facilitation, negotiation and training.
  • Experience with Python, Jenkins, GitHub and test automation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of CAN/Ethernet protocols and embedded systems basics.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Leadership and coaching abilities for junior engineers.
  • Experience in embedded software testing and automation, including ECU-Test and PyTest.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with test-driven development and performance testing.
  • Experience with ECU-Test or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices.
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of JD1939.
  • Experience testing in SIL, HIL and VIL environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
