Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Finance:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the Finance team in managing the company's financial activities, including accounting, tax, and reporting. The CFO will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data, as well as maintaining internal controls and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Manage the accounting team, including the Accounting Manager and Finance Analyst.
  • Oversee the purchase-to-pay process and ensure internal controls are in place.
  • Certify compliance of incoming resources and control reconciliations of sales and payments.
  • Review and control General Ledger, trial balances, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure fulfillment of all tax obligations, including transfer pricing.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of actual data reporting.
  • Coordinate external financial audits.

Treasury:

  • Manage the Treasury team, including the Treasury Coordinator.
  • Oversee cash and funds management.
  • Manage treasury reporting and cash analysis.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with banking and cash institutions.
  • Optimize financial costs.
  • Administer treasury tools and payment means.

Business Controlling:

  • Manage the Business Controlling team, including the Business Controlling Coordinator.
  • Oversee financial strength of the company through tools and KPIs implementation.
  • Partner with the Commercial Director on business analysis and provide local business plan insights.
  • Provide insights to anticipate risks and opportunities.
  • Support definition of budget targets and requirements.
  • Control company expenditures.
  • Optimize margins.
  • Manage stock.
  • Follow up on Capex.

Compliance, Risk, and Legal Management:

  • Ensure that Hermès procedures are enforced in accordance with Brazilian local regulation.
  • Develop local procedures.
  • Report internal control status and corresponding action plans.
  • Manage risk and incident database.
  • Coordinate internal audits.

Legal:

  • Be the main point of contact for legal matters.
  • Coordinate legal cases and processes with legal firms and lawyers.
  • Coordinate Board of Director's meetings and other legal requirements.
  • Provide monthly legal issues report and revisions to the General Manager.
  • Manage supplier contracts.

IT:

  • Manage the IT team, including the IT Manager.
  • Supervise daily operations of network and server infrastructure.
  • Align IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements.
  • Evaluate risk and develop network recovery and backup processes.
  • Assess and purchase new and replacement hardware.
  • Implement security measures.

Project Management:

The CFO will be a business and decision-making partner in strategic projects, including new store openings, expansions, and renovations, as well as company organization changes and operational model changes.
