Job Title: Finance Manager

Join our team as a Finance Manager at The Savoy, a Fairmont Managed Hotel, and take charge of the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the finance team, providing leadership and direction, and working closely with the Purchasing team to ensure all standards are followed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the finance team, providing leadership and direction.
  • Work closely with the Purchasing team to ensure all standards are followed.
  • Supervise the accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and income audit functions.
  • Ensure the monthly payroll is carried out with a high level of accuracy and in line with company policies and SOPs.
  • Handle the annual submission of the hotel's PAYE Settlement Agreement.
  • Ensure all Finance Operations comply with Internal Audit policies.
  • Ensure all Finance Operations comply with applicable legislation and external audit requirements.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring efficient completion, and managing the month-end process.
  • Oversee the cash flow process.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and control procedures.
  • Participate in the recruitment and training of new colleagues.
  • Review and complete monthly P&L reports, conducting monthly Balance Sheet reviews, and reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Submit quarterly/monthly VAT returns within the deadlines set by HMRC.
Requirements:
  • Accounting qualification – preferred but not required.
  • Have a great attitude with a willingness to learn and make your mark.
  • Enjoy managing a team and developing those around you.
  • Be ambitious and eager to develop your career in luxury hospitality.
  • Work closely with the Director of Finance & Business Support and the Executive team to drive the success of the business.
  • Be a finance expert, preferably a qualified accountant with up-to-date knowledge and practice in all accounting practices.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
