We have a large number of active users already flowing through our platform, making us the trusted partner for people who build homes.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a central role in shaping our data infrastructure. You will be deeply invested in understanding how data drives business decisions and empowers teams, ensuring that every solution delivers clarity and impact.
You will work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to design scalable, reliable, and high-quality data systems that become the foundation for insights and decision-making.
- Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow.
- Develop data models across multiple layers to support analytics and reporting.
- Optimize SQL queries for large datasets in AWS Athena and other relational systems.
- Build and maintain dashboards and BI workflows using Metabase.
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Analytics teams to define key metrics and KPIs.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and reproducibility across the data warehouse/lake.
- Establish best practices for data engineering and analytics.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Strong SQL expertise with experience tuning queries and designing efficient schemas.
- Hands-on experience with Airflow for workflow orchestration.
- Familiarity with AWS services, especially Athena, S3, and Glue.
- Experience building analytics dashboards with Metabase or similar BI tools.
- Understanding of layered data pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering and ETL tasks.
- Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally with product and business teams.
