Technology Transactional Lawyer
">Job Description:- The Technology Legal Practice Group supports the firm's technology organization and provides legal coverage on technology matters. This group focuses on primary legal areas, including cloud services, data management, technology transactions, outsourcing, SaaS agreements, and licensing contracts.
This role will involve structuring, drafting, negotiating, and analyzing agreements for global and domestic technology products and services. The attorney will work closely with colleagues in sourcing, third-party oversight, information security, and global technology.
- Structure and negotiate agreements with third parties related to technology, including intellectual property licenses, SaaS agreements, software, hardware, and maintenance agreements.
- Manage end-to-end negotiations and navigate internal processes to reach timely and successful agreement execution.
- Provide guidance and subject matter expertise on new and existing regulatory requirements to internal business partners.
- Support investments and acquisitions by conducting diligence on technology companies, including IP, controls, privacy, and technology.
- Develop and implement technology transactional strategies to meet business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve novel legal issues presented by new technologies in financial services.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities in technology transactions.
- Law degree or educational equivalent required.
- At least 1-3 years of experience as a practicing attorney in a law firm or corporate law environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and legal research skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational, and negotiation skills.
