Director of Operational Technology Security

The Director, Operational Technology Security prioritizes the stability, efficiency, and security of operational technology infrastructure. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and leading a team of operational technology professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities.
  • Overseeing the operation and maintenance of operational technology systems, including industrial control systems, SCADA systems, and related infrastructure.
  • Implementing and maintaining operational technology security measures to protect critical infrastructure from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to ensure alignment between operational technology systems and overall business objectives.
  • Developing and implementing operational technology policies, procedures, and standards to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Overseeing incident response and recovery efforts related to operational technology systems, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • Staying current on emerging operational technology trends and security best practices, evaluating and recommending solutions to enhance operational technology infrastructure and security posture.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in operational technology operations or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing and leading technical teams.
  • Industry-recognized operational technology security certifications are highly desirable.
  • A deep understanding of industrial control systems, SCADA systems, and other operational technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of operational technology security best practices and relevant industry standards.
  • Experience with operational technology network design, implementation, and management.
  • Familiarity with IT/OT convergence and related security considerations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
