Database Engineer

Your role and responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop database solutions using .NET, PowerShell, Python, and other automation tools to deliver scalable and efficient Database-as-a-Service solutions for MS SQL.
  • Build and innovate database infrastructure using cutting-edge AWS Cloud technologies to drive business growth and innovation.
  • Perform performance analysis and tuning for MS SQL environments to optimize database performance and minimize downtime.
  • Automate and streamline database management processes to increase productivity and reduce manual errors.
  • Conduct POC analysis and document complex, business-critical database workflows to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Lead incident analysis and provide corrective action recommendations to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Develop and implement database alerting and monitoring solutions to enhance database visibility and improve proactive issue detection.
  • Build and maintain cloud infrastructure as part of our database product offerings to deliver flexible and on-demand computing resources.
  • Own the full DevOps lifecycle: design, code, test, deploy, and monitor to deliver high-quality software products efficiently.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Deep experience in database engineering and automation.
  • Strong experience with AWS and services like CFN, SSM, and container technologies.
  • Deep expertise in MS SQL administration, including HA, backup/restore, security, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for Windows environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level production databases.
  • Familiarity with DevOps frameworks and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Advanced English language proficiency.
