Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining databases to ensure high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement database architectures using SQL Server and MySQL.
  • Manage database backups, replication, recovery, and failover strategies.
  • Monitor database performance and perform tuning for optimization.
  • Develop and maintain database security policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with development and data engineering teams to design and review database schemas and queries.

DevOps on AWS:

  • Deploy and manage infrastructure using AWS services.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for database and application deployments.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure and databases using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Automate routine tasks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator with SQL Server and MySQL in production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services, including RDS, EC2, S3, and IAM.
  • Proficiency in DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automation, and containerization.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with database tools like SSMS, MySQL Workbench, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of database compliance and regulatory requirements.
