Position Overview
ProSidian is seeking a Senior Technical Editor to provide Management and Operations Solutions related to the Education and Academia Sector. This role involves delivering logistical support for Adult Education Reform Services on behalf of the Department of Education. The selected candidate will be integral to the ProSidian Education and Academia Sector Group, leveraging relevant experience to support engagements with the Department of Education.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and refine technical documents, manuals, and publications for clarity, precision, and consistency.
- Ensure compliance with established style guides and industry standards.
- Collaborate with writers and subject matter experts to create and enhance technical content.
- Organize documents to ensure they are easily comprehensible for the target audience.
- Verify the accuracy of technical information and data presented.
- Manage multiple projects effectively while adhering to deadlines.
- Utilize appropriate software tools for formatting and publishing technical documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical editing or technical writing.
- Strong command of grammar, style, and usage conventions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in technical editing tools and software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with technical fields such as engineering or technology is preferred.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Ability to initiate and maintain productive client relationships.
- Capacity to respond to inquiries from both internal and external clients.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
