Packaging Development Specialist

Job Summary:

This position plays a crucial role in driving growth through innovative packaging and sustainable practices, as well as funding growth by driving savings and standardization efforts globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new and improved packages and processes, including design generation, prototype development, engineering specifications, and technology transfer.
  • Manage the design of packaging systems and components to meet defined needs for ergonomics, aesthetics, consumer acceptance, manufacturing capability, and quality.
  • Define and implement standardization and simplification programs, and margin improvement projects.
  • Establish specifications for packages, processes, and/or equipment consistent with KPI goals and support Quality and EOHS Standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • BS or MS Degree in Packaging, Engineering, Material Sciences, or printing technologies.
  • Solid experience in a consumer products, packaged goods, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Ability to travel 5-20% based on project needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a multi-national company.
  • Experience coordinating packaging development projects with Product Development, Marketing, and the Supply Chain.
