IT Systems Support Specialist role

  • This entry-level Information Technology position offers the opportunity to join a dynamic team in the Oil and Gas industry. The successful candidate will provide technical support to operations, troubleshooting regional IT issues and escalating complex problems as necessary.
  • The role also involves executing transcription projects at various facilities, collaborating with local management to ensure the reliability of IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and Resolve Issues
  • Local hardware issues: workstations, printers, peripherals.
  • User login challenges: virtual machine access, VPN connections, locked accounts, password resets.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and network components.
  • Knowledgeable in software installation and upgrades on both platforms.
  • Experience with command line interfaces for Linux and Windows environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical qualifications in IT disciplines.
  • Experience with tape drives and ODI Tools for Transcription is highly valued.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ODI tools is preferred.
