The role of a Software Engineering Manager involves leading a team of engineers responsible for the development and maintenance of various open-source software projects.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead a distributed team of engineers.
  • Hire, coach, mentor, provide feedback, and career development guidance to team members.

  • Support timely delivery of bug fixes, patches, and other technical solutions to address business needs.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer interaction skills.

  • Advocate and advance modern software development practices.
  • Cultivate a healthy, collaborative engineering culture aligned with company values.

The role requires working from home with occasional global travel up to 10% for internal and external events.

To be successful in this role, you should have professional software delivery experience using C, C++, Go, Python, or similar programming languages.

A demonstrated commitment to testing methodologies and maintainable code quality is essential.

Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required.

Experience with Linux, especially Ubuntu, and Open Source and Open Source Business Models is a plus.
