Job Opportunity: Freelance Credit Researcher

We are seeking a seasoned freelance credit researcher to join our Debtwire Credit Research Team. As a key team member, you will provide unique insights and valuation analysis on companies and their securities that are restructuring or raising capital.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a credit or equity analyst, with an excellent understanding of financial statements and a drive to thoroughly read information supporting these statements. Strong knowledge of debt and equity securities, including some knowledge of bankruptcy processes, is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce in-depth financial and valuation analyses on high-yield, distressed, and stressed companies.
  • Interact electronically and personally with subscribers to discuss credit and macro analysis.
  • Assist in special reports and ad-hoc projects, and collaborate with management and IR teams of covered companies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to build a thesis and reach a conclusion in a structured manner.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and/or Spanish (both preferred).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
