Job Title: Data Quality Specialist

Job Description:

Our organization seeks a highly skilled and experienced data quality professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and prioritizing proactive data quality actions and remediation to drive improvements in data quality towards resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and prioritize proactive data quality actions and remediation to drive improvements in data quality towards resolution
• Support analysis to resolve root cause, impact, and severity of data quality issues
• Confirm that actions taken have resolved the issue, mitigated the risk, or provided an acceptable contingency
• Supervise data quality SLA's with Data Owners and Data Stewards
• Drive data profiling efforts and help define data quality business rules for each prioritized data object and element
• Define critical data quality metrics (e.g., accuracy, completeness, validity) to manage the quality of financial data
• Coordinate the designs of the data quality scorecards and reports and work with technology teams for development of data quality monitoring solutions
• Communicate data quality results and trends to Finance and IT partners and the Data Governance Council
• Deliver data quality training to targeted business partners

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is required. MBA/Master's degree is preferred
• CPA and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, financial planning and reporting, or related business experience is required
• Experience working on data integrity issues is required, including identifying and resolving critical data defects in a timely manner to support key financial activities
• Innovative and continuous improvement mentality with the ability to translate sophisticated business operations into streamlined process design is required
• Foundational project management skills, along with organizational change skills and capable of working in ambiguous situations, is required
• Advanced skills in MS Office is required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to develop strong relationships with key business partners at all levels of the organization is required
• Proactively identifying and mitigating process risks within a multi-functional, global enterprise is required
