Job Overview

The Product Owner is a pivotal role that ensures market and product requirements are effectively integrated into the finished product.

As the main liaison between product marketing, management, and engineering teams, this individual plays a crucial part in understanding product strategy defined by product management.

  • Collaborate closely with product management and engineering team to ensure alignment on product strategy
  • Collect product requirements from key buyer audiences and end users
  • Coordinate creation of product mockups and prototypes
  • Prioritize and maintain the backlog to maximize outcomes aligned with product strategy (roadmap) for one or multiple agile development teams
  • Develop and present product requirements documents
  • Oversee and sign off on functional specifications
  • Ensure seamless product development through effective communication with stakeholders
  • Coordinate testing, including user acceptance testing, alpha, and beta programs
  • Manage bug fixes and prioritize accordingly

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in a related field
  • Previous experience in B2B SaaS business analysis or product development is highly desirable
  • Thorough understanding of the Product Owner role
  • Able to balance intuitive judgment and logical analysis
  • Comfortable making decisions and willing to take calculated risks
  • Ability to mentor and advise other Scrum teams and team members, especially on Product Owner responsibilities
  • Capacity to perform as a Product Owner effectively without day-to-day support for multiple teams
