About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Software Engineer to join our team at HP and contribute to the development of cutting-edge UI applications. As a UI Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that cater to specific user needs or business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Development: Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of end-user applications software running on local, networked, and Internet-based platforms.
  2. Analysis and Troubleshooting: Analyze design and determine coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution. Investigate and resolve technical issues reported by users or identified during testing and usage.
  3. Testing and Quality Assurance: Write and execute complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, backend and quality assurance teams, to implement new features and functionalities in software applications.
  5. Project Management: Allocate resources to complete programming projects, and designing detailed plans to ensure applications are functioning properly.
  6. Leadership and Team Management: Lead a project team of other software applications engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost-effective and high-quality solutions for assigned applications portion or subsystem.
  7. Communication and Representation: Collaborate and communicate with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software applications design status, project progress, and issue resolution. Represent the software applications engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.
  8. Professional Development: Keep up with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software development to stay current and improve skills.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in applications engineering, programming, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
  2. Preferred Certifications: Programming Language/s Certification (Javascript, Python, or similar)
  3. Knowledge and Skills: JavaScript, TypeScript, MobX, Vite, Python, Docker, Application Programming Interface (API) - REST, AI/Machine Learning, Agile Methodology, Automation, Kubernetes, Microservices, Microsoft Azure, Scalability, Software Development, Software Engineering, SQL (Programming Language)
