Lead Maintenance Technician Position Summary

The Lead Maintenance Technician role is a key position within our organization, responsible for directing a team of technicians to ensure that all repairs and maintenance of equipment are performed in compliance with our safety standards and applicable federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain expert knowledge of vehicle components and systems, with the ability to perform complex repair maintenance functions, both on-site and on the road.
  • Leadership Skills: Provide direction to technicians assigned to his or her work group to ensure that all repair and maintenance work is performed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
  • Quality Control: Inspect repairs done by a third-party vendor to ensure all work has been properly completed in accordance with our safety procedures and federal and state regulations.
  • Diagnostic Skills: Perform repair diagnostics on more complex matters, identify the source of malfunctions using various electronic tools.
Requirements
  • Technical Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
  • Qualifications: ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8), Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License, valid Driver's License, and at least 1 year of supervisory or lead technician experience.
