
Strategic Facility Planning Specialist

The position of Facilities Planner is a key role within the organization, responsible for providing support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of various business lines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver master and facilities planning consultation, guiding master plans and classifying work on facilities projects.
- Prepare, update, and validate property records through asset evaluations.
- Develop, maintain, and validate facility requirements plans, including basic facility requirement justifications and facility planning documents.
- Compile, update, and validate project documents, location/site maps, economic analyses, site approval requests, and cost estimates.
- Formulate project proposals to address verified deficiencies and surpluses.
- Develop land use plans for installations by evaluating land use compatibility across functional categories.
- Identify and document development constraints and potential encroachment issues.
- Create and validate installation and area development plans, identifying sites for future facilities or existing facilities for reuse within established land use frameworks.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Inventory Program Manager on Class II real property matters, offering guidance, oversight, and direction to activities on inventory program aspects, recommending improvements, providing advice and consultation on inventory management, and reconciling property records.
- Review work performed by others for technical adequacy and conformance with established criteria, policy, and guidelines, providing written review comments.
- Support training material development for master and facility planning, facility inventory management, planning, organizing, and conducting training sessions.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Department of Defense planning and/or facility inventory.
- Desirable: experience with Navy planning and/or facility inventory.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Background check required, ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
