Nissan Motor is seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team in Curitiba, Brazil. As a key member of our Program Management staff, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional program development activities to ensure the successful completion of key milestones and vehicle Quality/Cost/Timing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional program development activities to ensure completion of key milestones and vehicle Quality/Cost/Timing
  • Support the Chief Vehicle Engineer in developing and completing program metrics and direction to achieve overall vehicle targets
  • Develop project schedules and manage critical path
  • Monitor metrics, identify key issues, and bring 'decision-ready' issues forward to the Chief Engineer
  • Act as a liaison between engineering and outside organizations (manufacturing, purchasing, product planning, OPD, etc.)
  • Ensure project stays on schedule and on budget
  • Work cross-functionally and cross-culturally within the Nissan organization
  • Predict potential Quality/Cost/Timing concerns and proactively propose actions to avoid or recover
  • Guide other team members' activities regarding Project Management
  • Be accountable for all deliverables and actions within the project

Job Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good overview of Project Management
  • Product Development and/or MFG & Process Engineering know-how
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment
  • Administration/leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) and Outlook
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field
  • Post-graduation/MBA is an advantage

Language and Location:

Able to communicate verbally and in writing in English

Location: Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil
