Job Title: Senior Attorney
As a key member of the legal payments team, you will provide expert legal and regulatory support to our covered lines of business. This includes Payments, Corporate Treasury Services, Escrow Services, and Trade Finance.
- Review, draft, and negotiate documents related to these areas.
- Stay abreast of key regulatory agendas impacting our business, supporting regulators and advising on market innovation, regulations, and legal risks.
- Participate in regional and global initiatives, including best practice development and template creation.
- Support the negotiation of facilities and deals, including lending, trade finance, supply chain finance, receivables finance, and bank guarantees.
- Collaborate with the larger banking team as needed, providing expertise on other products and services.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified lawyer with at least 7 years of experience in payments, cash management, or bank regulation, with trade finance experience.
- Licensed attorney in Brazil.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong regulatory background.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to apply technical product knowledge and experience to complex transactions and products.
- Commercial focus with a solution-driven approach.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and respond to business needs and goals.
