Job Overview

Establish and lead the finance function in Brazil, overseeing a team of professionals and collaborating with external vendors.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Analysis
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for growth and improvement.
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, aligning with business unit goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with financial strategies and targets.
Internal Controls & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, maintaining a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
  • Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations, facilitating a smooth audit process.
Accounts Management
  • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work closely with outsourced accountants (if applicable) to ensure accurate financial records and implement best practices for financial management.
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance financial processes, implementing cost-effective solutions and improving overall efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for efficiency and accuracy in reporting, utilizing advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling.
Required Skills & QualificationsPreferred Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management or a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling, with the ability to analyze complex financial data.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Personal Attributes
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with excellent leadership and motivational skills.
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.
