Camaçari Site Overview

The Camaçari Site is strategically located within the Petrochemical Complex due to its raw material availability, equipment infrastructure, tax benefits, and skilled workforce. On this site, we manufacture intermediate glyphosate (GI) and serve customers in Brazil and Argentina markets. We also supply by-products obtained from hydrochloric acid (HCL) and molecular hydrogen (H2) production to other companies within our hub.


Site construction began in 1999, and operations started two years later in October 2001. This unit holds significant importance for us due to its continuous contribution to global GI supply.


Our presence in the community supports local economic growth through various initiatives. We engage in philanthropic actions benefiting hundreds of families in cities like Camaçari, Dias d'Ávila, and Salvador. These efforts include lectures, workshops, environmental education, factory visits, and participation in local committees.


Your Role
  • You will be responsible for methodologies related to hazard identification, evaluation, and mitigation.
  • You will measure and evaluate safety and protection quality criteria.
  • You will manage governmental processes concerning HSE aspects locally.
  • Accountable for overseeing quality processes, including GMP/GDP/ISO implementation within the quality cluster/country/site.
  • Responsible for an HSE management system, encompassing auditing, performance evaluation, and a continuous improvement cycle.
  • You will drive process optimization concerning safety, environmental protection, and HSE compliance.
  • Member of leadership teams, responsible for HSE and quality management in your respective country/site/function.
  • Coordination of HSE processes and activities on a country/site level.
  • Interface between SBR, Quality International department, and the quality cluster.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • University degree in Natural Sciences, Pharmacy, or Engineering (Master or equivalent).
  • Direct people leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of GMP/GDP/IS and HSE processes is mandatory.
  • Fluent Portuguese and Advanced English skills are required.
  • Desirable: Spanish language proficiency.
  • Relevant professional business experience is desirable.
  • Business insights and a good understanding of needs are necessary.
  • Strategic mindset and ability to handle complexity and ambiguity.
  • Strong collaboration, experimentation, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to attract and develop talents.
