The Improvement Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving new product introductions, capital project execution, continuous improvement, manufacturing support, and sustainability efforts.

This position collaborates closely with technology, operations, R&D, quality, supply chain, and engineering stakeholders to optimize processes, ensuring safe, sustainable, and efficient practices.

Safety & Sustainability:
  • Our team member will serve as a champion for EHS excellence, promoting a culture of responsibility and accountability.
  • Support Process Safety Management (PSM), PHAs, and site safety reviews to minimize risks.
  • Contribute to the development of sustainability initiatives, aligning with our organization's goals.
New Product Introductions & Site Transfers:
  • Assess site capabilities to ensure seamless integration of new or transferred products.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design efficient manufacturing processes, prioritizing safety and productivity.
  • Provide on-site support during trials, optimization, and validation, ensuring successful product launches.
Capital Projects & Continuous Improvement:
  • Lead projects from planning through execution, commissioning, and closure, leveraging data-driven insights.
  • Identify and spearhead cost-saving initiatives, driving process improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze performance data to pinpoint opportunities and develop targeted improvement plans.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical or related operations.
  • Advanced proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Proven expertise in formulation and packaging processes, Process Hazard Analysis, capital project management, process design and scale-up, troubleshooting, and change management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders.
  • A data-driven mindset with a results-oriented approach, focusing on measurable outcomes.
