Unreal Engine Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Unreal Engine Developer to join our team at Big Moxi Games. As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate with our team to develop, debug, and maintain game systems using Unreal Engine 5. The ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in C++ and experience in multiplayer game development, preferably with Unreal Engine. You will be responsible for creating and documenting complex systems clearly, including technical design documents and code references. In addition, you will partner with engineers at multiple levels and the networking team to ensure large-scale performance optimization. The successful candidate will have a positive, collaborative, and self-motivated attitude, effective in team environments, and excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop, debug, and maintain game systems using Unreal Engine 5.
  • Partner with engineers at multiple levels and the networking team to ensure large-scale performance optimization.
  • Create and document complex systems clearly, including technical design documents and code references.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in multiplayer game development, preferably with Unreal Engine.
  • Strong proficiency in C++.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and Perforce.
  • Positive, collaborative, and self-motivated attitude, effective in team environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex processes.

  • Experience with the Gameplay Ability System (GAS).
  • A portfolio showcasing attention to detail and high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Experience in profiling and optimizing applications for bandwidth and CPU usage.
  • Proven ability and willingness to mentor other engineers.
