Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Location: São Paulo, Brazil

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field is required.

We are seeking a skilled quality assurance specialist to join our team. As a quality assurance specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of systems and processes within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications.
  2. Analyze requirements, design specifications and user stories to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  3. Define test data requirements and create test condition matrices.
  4. Participate in test planning and strategy sessions, collaborating with stakeholders to define scope and objectives.
  5. Develop and maintain reusable test frameworks, libraries and components to streamline the test automation process.
  6. Execute automated test cases, analyze test results and generate comprehensive test reports.
  7. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab or Azure DevOps.
  8. Collaborate with developers and product managers to identify and resolve software defects and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
  9. Track and manage defects using tools like ADO, QTest or similar platforms, participate in triage and root cause analysis of software defects to prevent recurrence and improve development processes.
  10. Communicate testing progress, issues and risks effectively to the team and stakeholders.
  11. Provide support and mentorship to junior quality engineers on quality-related matters.
  12. Maintain clear and concise documentation for all quality assurance activities.

Requirements:

  1. Typically a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 5-7 years of experience in software quality assurance.
  2. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies.
  3. Proficiency in software testing techniques, including functional testing, performance testing, and security testing.
  4. Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
  5. Knowledge of software development processes, such as Agile and Waterfall.
  6. Extensive experience (5+ years) in modern test tools like Tricentis Tosca, encompassing Test case design and development, effective utilization of reusable test modules, Tosca automation architecture and infrastructure setup, distributed execution, TDS, etc., along with knowledge about automation project set up using Tosca Server and Tosca Commander.
  7. Proven experience designing and implementing scalable test automation frameworks using Tosca and potentially other tools. Understanding of different automation patterns and best practices.
  8. Good C# programming skills to develop custom Tosca extensions and integrations is desirable.
  9. Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. Experience defining testing strategies and ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  10. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working within Agile teams.
  11. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and product owners.
