Director – Systems Modernization

Job Summary:

As Director – Systems Modernization, you will play a pivotal role in aligning technology initiatives with business goals. Your expertise will drive innovation and digital transformation through IT strategy alignment and operational efficiency enhancement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Align technology initiatives with business goals to maximize IT value.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies that foster innovation and digital transformation.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to define approved project scopes, objectives, timelines and budgets for technology initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify strategic technology needs and opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or Business Administration; master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a strong focus on ERP systems.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale SAP implementations and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align technology initiatives with corporate strategy.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience managing diverse teams and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Project Management: Experience leading large projects aimed at aligning technology solutions with business needs.
  • Business Process Acumen: Facilitating workshops with business leaders to understand processes, challenges, data and technology requirements.
  • Business Analysis: Conducted needs assessments to identify gaps in current technology that impede business operations.
  • Strategic Planning: Leading or significant contributor to the development of IT strategy aligned with overall business strategy.
  • Vendor Management: Negotiating contracts and managing service level agreements (SLAs) with technology providers.
  • Systems Integration: Experience integrating IT systems with business applications to enhance workflows and data accessibility.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Leading a team to generate reports that inform business decisions and measure the effectiveness of IT initiatives.
  • IT Governance and Compliance: Understanding regulatory requirements and ensuring technology solutions comply with industry standards.
