Job Title: EDU Specialist

Job Summary: Amazon is seeking a highly motivated specialist to help accelerate our growing Education practice as part of the World-Wide Public-Sector team. As a Technical Business Developer, you will have the opportunity to shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services directly with customers and our ecosystem of system integrators and solution providers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Vision and Strategy: Own the creation of the long-term technical vision and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
  2. Implementation Architectures: Define implementation architectures and strategies, respond to RFPs, and develop a deep expertise in the AWS technologies.
  3. Subject Matter Expert: Be a subject matter expert on the vertical as it relates to customer applications and services.
  4. Thought Leadership: Provide exceptional thought leadership to our customers while working with a world-class sales technical and business development team.
  5. Best-Practice Knowledge: Lead efforts to create, capture, and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS community.
Requirements
  1. Experience: 10+ years of experience in working and deploying solutions for customers in the Education industry.
  2. Technical Skills: 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
  3. Design and Implementation: 10+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
  4. IT Development: 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
  5. Go-To-Market Strategies: Experience in building Go-To-Market strategies and Technical Accounting Plans.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Infrastructure Architecture: 8+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
  2. Community Engagement: Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
  3. Language Skills: Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
