Job Overview

We're seeking skilled technologists, engineers, and problem-solvers who excel in collaborative environments and want to shape the future of IT infrastructure.

You'll work on z/OS, collaborating with talented minds to develop products optimized for hybrid cloud, AI, and security. Our intelligent systems empower clients to innovate boldly while minimizing risk and complexity.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, install, configure, and implement z/OS solutions
  • Install, migrate, monitor, secure, and enable z/OS platforms
  • Develop plans for continuous availability across planned or unplanned outages of any single hardware or software element
  • Implement z/OS service level upgrades and patches
  • Enhance z/OS performance through configuration changes
  • Create and deploy z/OS operating system configurations
  • Support disaster recovery initiatives
  • Provide technical assistance to programmers and end users
  • May require rotating 24x7 on-call support responsibility as well as weekend support
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Information Technology degree and/or technology certifications preferred or substantial equivalent experience
  • 8-10 years of experience as a z/OS systems programmer
  • Advanced knowledge of z/OS, z/OS UNIX System Services, SMP/E, TCPIP, RACF, JCL, ISPF, SMS, z/OSMF, IODF, IOCDS, FICON, control units, and z/OS configuration best practices
  • Advanced knowledge of programming languages, such as REXX, high-level assembler, and Python
  • Experience or familiarity with Ansible, OpenShift, Jira, and Problem/Change process
  • Advanced knowledge of IBM mainframe technologies
  • Good communication skills both written and oral; the individual must interface with application developers, support teams, software vendors, and management staff
  • Advanced English language proficiency
