Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Scrub Practitioner – General to join our team at Spire Clare Park Hospital. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will be responsible for delivering safe and high-quality care to patients during their surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and effective care to patients during their perioperative phase of care.
- Support and assist in the management and organisation of care provision within the Operating Department.
- Lead and manage a team, coordinating staff training needs and resource requirements.
- Assist in the delivery of patient care and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self.
- Apply and promote best evidence-based practice within own scope of practice.
- Maintain knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and ensure appropriate measures are taken to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Achieve agreed objectives and demonstrate CHG behaviours at all times.
- Assemble, check, and prepare surgical equipment, instruments, and consumables for a wide range of operative procedures.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have HCPC registration and a strong background in perioperative care. You will also need to be able to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
