Accounting Specialist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced accounting specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and processing journal entries, maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, and providing records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process journal entries in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide detailed records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions to stakeholders.
  • Prepare profit and loss, income, and balance sheet statements for management review.
  • Maintain inter-company accounting records and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports for internal and external use as required.
  • Assist in preparing reports and analysis for the annual external audit.
  • Evaluate and implement improvements to existing processes and systems.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and systems.
