Water resources engineers play a vital role in managing the world's water supply. They are responsible for designing and developing solutions to ensure clean water for communities and industries.
As a water resources engineer, you will be involved in a variety of tasks including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater management and drainage design, erosion and sediment control design, flood studies, bridge hydraulics and scour analysis, and plan and report preparation.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-12 years of experience in water resources engineering and hold a BSCE degree. Proficiency in hydrologic/hydraulic (H&H) modeling of natural systems and stormwater collection systems, floodplain management and modeling, culvert and bridge hydraulics, scour analysis, erosion and sediment control design, drainage design, stormwater management design, plan review and plan and report preparation is essential.
Experience with software such as PondPack, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HY-8, and Watershed Modeling System is also required. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and possess strong communication skills are also necessary.
